At Dillbadin Primary School, our Physical Education program is about much more than just fitness. We use sport and movement as powerful tools to help students build teamwork, resilience, and confidence, while learning the importance of fair play, cooperation, and how to handle both winning and losing with respect.
Each class participates in a minimum of one hour of Physical Education per week, where they develop essential gross and fine motor skills, build strength and coordination, and enjoy games that encourage strategic thinking and collaboration.
To enrich our PE program, we partner with qualified Gecko Sports coaches, who run engaging and energetic programs throughout the term. These sessions bring a fun and professional element to sports, introducing students to a variety of activities and skill-based challenges in a safe and supportive environment.
In addition to weekly PE lessons, students take part in a range of broader sporting opportunities including:
Athletics
Cross Country
Swimming programs
Interschool sports
Classroom sport activities
PMP (Perceptual Motor Program) for our junior students, supporting early motor development and coordination.
At Dillbadin, we believe Physical Education plays a vital role in helping students grow strong bodies, resilient minds, and positive attitudes, setting them up for success both inside and outside the classroom.
