At Dillbadin Primary School, we recognise that digital technologies play a vital role in preparing students for success in an increasingly connected and technology-driven world. Through the explicit teaching of Digital Technologies and the purposeful integration of ICT across the curriculum, students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become capable, responsible, and creative digital citizens.
Our Digital Technologies program encourages students to think critically, solve problems, create innovative solutions, and use technology effectively to communicate, collaborate, and learn. Students are taught to use digital tools safely, ethically, and responsibly while developing the skills required to navigate an ever-changing digital landscape.
Technology is embedded across all learning areas and supports personalised learning experiences that engage and challenge students. Through access to a range of devices, including iPads, netbooks, and our dedicated ICT learning space, students have regular opportunities to apply their digital skills in authentic and meaningful ways.
Teachers utilise a range of evidence-based digital learning platforms, including Reading Eggs and Mathletics, to enhance classroom instruction and provide targeted opportunities for students to consolidate and extend their literacy and numeracy skills. These tools support differentiated learning, allowing students to progress at an appropriate pace while receiving timely feedback on their learning.
Students engage in coding, digital design, multimedia creation, research projects, and STEM-based learning experiences that foster computational thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Through these experiences, students learn to move beyond simply consuming technology to becoming confident creators, innovators, and critical thinkers.
As part of our commitment to future-focused learning, Dillbadin Primary School is continuing to invest in the development of its STEM program. Planned upgrades to our learning spaces in 2026–2027 will support the introduction of robotics and emerging technologies, providing students with opportunities to engage in hands-on engineering, coding, design thinking, and problem-solving experiences. These enhancements will further strengthen students' readiness for the technological demands of the future.
To ensure students have access to contemporary learning tools, the school maintains an ongoing commitment to investing in technology infrastructure, devices, software, and digital resources. This commitment supports our vision of providing high-quality learning experiences that prepare students for future education, employment, and participation in a rapidly evolving world.
At Dillbadin Primary School, technology is more than a classroom resource—it is a powerful tool for learning, innovation, creativity, and connection. We are committed to developing future-ready learners who can confidently embrace the opportunities and challenges of the digital age.
